Overview
GM World! is the annual global forum hosted by Metacampus, a Web3 education company, bringing together industry leaders, creators and innovators around the topics of artificial intelligence, the Metaverse and decentralized technology. In 2024 I developed the full brand identity and visual assets for the event, creating a system flexible enough to evolve with each edition while maintaining a consistent core identity.
The Challenge
Problem to solve
The forum is international by design, each edition takes place in a different host city, with a different cultural context. The brand needed to be globally neutral enough to work anywhere, while also adaptable enough to absorb local character without losing coherence. It also had to position GM World! as a serious professional event, not just another Web3 hype vehicle.
Process
My approach
The identity is built around a bold, modular typographic system that serves as the primary design vehicle. Rather than relying on a complex illustration or iconographic system that would need to be rethought for each city, the typography itself becomes the canvas for local adaptation, colour, texture, and photographic references from each host city can be layered into the letterforms without changing the structural identity.
